My students often ask the question that when other school subjects they study provide them with various types of knowledge regarding managing the Four Basic Requisites in their everyday lives, then what kind of knowledge does Buddhism provide for their benefit?
Will people who ordain gain more merit from their studies during the Buddhist Lent season than ordination at other times.
It is a tradition to have our children ordain for the duration of the Buddhist Lent season so that they can study Buddhism. I would like to know if they gain more merit from their studies during this period than ordination at other times.
